2. Collection and processing of personal data
2.1 Contact form
If you use the contact form on this website, the following data will be processed:
– Name
– Email address
– (optional) Telephone number
– Message text
This data is processed solely for the purpose of handling your enquiry and for subsequent communication.
SSL encryption:
Data is transmitted using SSL/TLS encryption to protect it from unauthorised access.
2.2 Server-Logfiles
When you visit this website, information is automatically collected by the hosting provider and stored in so-called server log files. This includes:
– IP address (anonymised after 7 days)
– Date and time of access
– Page/file accessed
– Browser type and version
– Operating system
– Referrer URL
Purpose of processing: security, error analysis, technical stability and statistical analysis.

Processing is carried out on the basis of Article 6(1)(f) of the GDPR.
2.3. For analytical purposes, the website uses the open-source web analytics plugin Matomo, but without tracking cookies and with IP addresses partially anonymised.
3. Processing contact enquiries via email (Office 365 EU)
If you contact me by email, your data will be processed via Microsoft Office 365, which has servers located in the EU.

Microsoft is contractually bound as a data processor in accordance with Article 28 of the GDPR (data processing agreement in place).
Should data be processed outside the EU in exceptional cases, this will be done on the basis of the Standard Contractual Clauses (SCCs) of the European Commission.
4. Legal basis for processing
Personal data is processed in accordance with
– Article 6(1)(b) of the GDPR, if your enquiry relates to the initiation or performance of a contract,
– Article 6(1)(f) of the GDPR, based on my legitimate interest in processing enquiries and ensuring the technical operation and security of the website.
5. Retention period
– Project data: Stored for the duration of the collaboration and for a further 3 years (for tax record-keeping purposes).
– Contact enquiries: Are deleted as soon as they have been processed, provided there are no statutory retention obligations to the contrary.
– Server log files: IP addresses are anonymised after 7 days.
– On request, research results can be archived on an external hard drive. Cloud services and other online storage solutions are not used for this purpose as a matter of principle.
6. Disclosure of data to third parties
Data is not disclosed to third parties as a matter of principle, except:
Raidboxes GmbH (hosting, servers in Germany) as a data processor in accordance with Article 28 of the GDPR.
Microsoft Office 365 (email communication), EU server locations, data processing agreement in place, safeguards provided by standard contractual clauses.
No further disclosure takes place.
7. Cookies and Tracking
This website does not use:
– any cookies other than those that are technically necessary for the site to function
– any tracking, in particular Google Analytics, the Facebook Pixel or marketing cookies

Use of the contact form is voluntary. However, without the required details (at least an email address), we will be unable to respond to your enquiry.
